Absolutely stellar. We had a passed appetizers reception and it fit the
venue perfectly. The food was INCREDIBLE! (Sorry to yell; I'd just use bold type
if I could.) The wine--thanks to their wine guy JJ's advice--was amazing. (We
didn't BYOB because the corkage is too high and their wine list was great anyway!)
To top it all off, the guest rooms were extremely comfortable.
The Inn was very flexible accomodating our party. Then, the next morning,
all of the Inn guests, plus a few more from beyond, were treated to a delicious
full breakfast. (Made to order, not stale buffet!)
I highly recommend
the Mountain Home Inn. It's rustic but elegant (it's possible!), affordable and
has an amazing view. (We had the BEST weather for a Bay Area summertime wedding!
No fog and hardly any wind!)
Best of all, was the Inn's coordinator,
Michaela. I gave her an extensive, complicated list of stuff to do. For example,
we DIYed flowers, so Michaela had to put them all out (about 60 arrangements!)
according to my instructions. She did it to the letter, and always calm, cool
and collected. Throughout the planning process, she kept me calm, focused and
realistic. On the day, she kept me and DH well fed and always with drink in hand
(if we so desired!) She made sure things ran on schedule but never herded the
guests around like cattle. She reminded me to put on lipstick whenever it faded
and even found a handy hiding place for it so I didn't have to run down to my
room every time it was time to reapply.
She made our day even more special,
right down to champagne and cake in our room, which was candle-and fire-lit and
covered in rose petals when we came in. (Yes, I know they do this for everyone,
but it still is so wonderful when they do it for you!) Michaela is absolutely
incredible and makes a wedding at the Mountain Home Inn a sure-fire success.
