Canopy Room

This is the room to book if you are on a honeymoon. It contains a hypoallergenic king featherbed and a vaulted ceiling with a skylight for added drama. There is a Jacuzzi bathtub for one, a wood burning fireplace, cd-clock radio, and a view of the bay draped through evergreens. It recently received soothing New Zealand wool carpeting. The soft woodland colors and peaceful ambience make this room one that you may never want to leave.




Mountain View Room

The Mountain View room has French doors leading onto a deck with views of both Mt. Tamalpais and the bay.The tiles are hand-made and there is a hand-loomed Tibetan wool rug in front of the fireplace. It also has a
hypoallergenic king featherbed, a wood-burning fireplace with sitting area, cd-clock radio, and a Jacuzzi bathtub for one.





Redwoods Room

Redwoods (No. 6). . . . . . . . . . . . . . $315
Redwood lovers appreciate the spacious Redwoods room with its sitting area windows framed by the redwoods outside.The tiles are hand-made and there is a hand-loomed Tibetan wool rug in front of the fireplace. It also has a hypoallergenic king featherbed, a Jacuzzi bathtub for one, cd-clock radio, and a fully stocked oak-burning fireplace ideal for romantic cool foggy evenings.






Miwok Room

Miwok Room (No. 7) . . . $295
This Deluxe Fireplace room has a queen bed and a sitting area with sofa, cd-clock radio, and a small deck with views. The room is shaded by evergreens giving it a cozy feeling. The fabric designs are evocative of what our original Mt. Tam dwellers--the Miwok Indians--might have woven.




Blue Room

Blue Room (No. 10) . . . . . . $295
The sunny bay window room has a hypoallergenic queen featherbed with a quarter-tester canopy. You'll enjoy a Jacuzzi bathtub for one, a cd clock-radio, and a large terrace deck with views of both Mt. Tamalpais and the bay.

John Muir Room

John Muir Room (No. 8) . . . . . . $245
This room has a queen bed, and a separate sitting area with a bay window and views. From our inn, you can hike down into the Woods named after the naturalist John Muir.





Jack London Room

Jack London Room (No. 9). . . . . . $245
Similar in look to Room 8, it has a sofa and sitting area, a small deck with bay views, cd-clock radio, arts and crafts-style furnishings, and a queen bed. The room is named after Jack London who used to stay here as a friend of the owner.

Our below standard rooms are sunny and quite small, best recommended for those bringing only a toothbrush and their sweetheart!



Wildflower Room

Our small-sized Standard Fireplace Room has a wood-burning fireplace, a deck, a queen bed, and original artwork featuring Mt. Tam's wildflowers. The carpet was recently upgraded to luxurious New Zealand wool.





Sunrise Room

Sunrise Room (No. 3). . . . $195
The above cozy, very small room has a queen bed and a deck. This room 3 is light and airy with pale pink and green striped wallpaper.





Crookedest Railway Room

Crookedest Railway (No. 4) $195
Another very small, cozy room, this sunny room comes with a queen bed and a deck. The room is named after the old scenic railway that came right by the inn - its route is now a hiking and mountain biking trail.

Before requesting a reservation, you may wish to review our policies below. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision.

Kindly Note:


CANCELLATION POLICY IS FIVE DAYS IN ADVANCE of the date of check-in, in such case any deposit will be refunded. Any cancellation after the five days is subject to charges in the amount of the entire booked reservation (including tax), unless room can be re-booked. Special conditions apply to any bookings in excess of two rooms. Deposit for first night stay is applied at time of booking.

11% ROOM TAXES ARE APPLICABLE.

We take MasterCard and Visa.

If booking a SATURDAY NIGHT STAY, May - October, a two night minimum is required. As an alternative, you may book either Friday or Sunday for one night.

CHECK-IN IS 3PM-9PM. If arriving after 9pm, please let us know the approximate time of arrival.

CHECK-OUT 11AM.


RATES BASED ON DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, $29 PER EXTRA PERSON.


THE MOUNTAIN HOME IS A SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT.

HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS is available throughout the inn and most guest rooms.

The Jacuzzi bathtubs are built for one but two persons frequently share them. They have a window opening up into the bedroom.

Rooms have cd-clock radios.
